What's on around Greenville in November 2026

November 2026 · Greenville, South Carolina

The second weekend of November, artists around Greenville County open their studio doors and let anybody walk in. Working rooms rather than galleries, so you get the bench, the kiln and the half-finished canvas on the easel. The Metropolitan Arts Council has been running it for twenty-four years, and you go at your own pace with a map.

Around Greenville, November is the month the farmers markets close for the year and the arts and holiday calendar takes over, with two home football Saturdays at Memorial Stadium in Clemson in between.

Every date below was confirmed for 2026 with the organizer, the venue, the city, the county, the state or the visitor bureau. Anything I could only find on a previous year's listing was left out, and there were ten of those this month. I have named them further down so you know what I looked at.

I'm Jeff Moran, NMLS #483943, a mortgage broker licensed in South Carolina through C2 Financial Corporation, and I have been in the mortgage business since 1996. I live in Bluffton and I lend across the state, so the Upstate is a market I research rather than one I walk every day. Everything here is public information, cited beside the date it came from, and it was checked on October 20, 2026. If you are looking at homes up there this fall, the Greenville area buyer's guide covers the four counties, the roads, the new schools and the parcel questions that come with them.

Tuesday the 3rd is the general election, and there is a penny on the ballot

Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and anybody still in line at 7 p.m. gets to vote. You will need one of the accepted photo IDs, and the state's own voter page lists them along with a tool for finding your polling place. Early voting ran October 19 through October 31, so the 3rd is the last day anyone can vote.

Greenville County has two questions on that ballot, and both are about a sales tax rather than a property tax. The first asks voters to approve a 1% sales and use tax for up to eight years, or until it raises $1.1 billion, whichever comes first. The county's own program page caps the spending by purpose at $990 million for roads, bridges and drainage, $33 million for mass transit and $77 million for greenbelts and trails. The second question asks whether the county may issue up to $150 million in bonds so some of that work can start sooner, with the tax paying the debt back. County Council voted 8 to 3 to put it on the ballot, and Fox Carolina's comparison with the 2024 version walks through what changed.

The City of Greenville put its own 1% sales tax question on the same ballot, which Fox Carolina reported in August. Simpsonville, Mauldin and Travelers Rest each have questions of their own, so depending on your address you may see two or three of them.

I am not taking a position on any of it. If you want to understand how a local tax question can reach a monthly payment, the mechanics are in how escrow accounts work and in what happens to property taxes after you buy.

Two nights at the Greenville Center for Creative Arts, the 5th and the 13th

Color The Night is the center's annual signature fundraiser, and Visit Greenville SC's listing has this year's edition, called Lasting Impressions, on Thursday the 5th. Live music, art performances, food and drink and a silent auction.

NightShifts is the center's free evening event, and the center's own schedule has the November one on Friday the 13th from 5 to 8. The same page describes NightShifts as a first-Friday thing, which the 13th is not, so the dated schedule is the one I am going with.

Mistletoe Market in Anderson, Saturday the 7th

The Anderson Mistletoe Market is a juried show of Upstate artists and crafters, and the Anderson County Museum's own page has it on Saturday the 7th from 9 to 4 at the museum at 202 East Greenville Street. Everything sold has to be the artist's own original work. The museum's application packet called the 2024 market the twentieth annual one, which makes this the twenty-second.

If you are looking around Anderson or out toward Lake Hartwell at something that would not be your main home, South Carolina assesses it at 6% of value instead of the 4% a qualifying legal residence gets. A home at the 4% rate is also excused from the school operating tax, and a second home is not, so the difference on the bill is wider than those two percentages by themselves. Second homes and South Carolina property tax works through the arithmetic.

LEGO builders at the convention center, the 7th and the 8th

The Brick Fan Event is at the Greenville Convention Center both days of that weekend, with large fan-built displays, a STEM area, hands-on building and vendors. The organizer's own ticket listing carries the 2026 dates and the current admission, and the organizer puts show hours at 10 to 5 on the Saturday and 10 to 4 on the Sunday.

The Upstate Salute is at Fluor Field on Sunday the 8th

The SC Veterans Upstate Salute comes back to Fluor Field downtown on Sunday the 8th, the weekend before Veterans Day. The Upstate Veterans Alliance's own event page has gates opening at 2, the special military program at 2:30 and the concert at 4: a vintage warbird flyover, a Special Forces jump team and displays from local veteran groups. Dylan Marlowe headlines, with Colton Bowlin and Ryan Spencer.

Admission is free this year, and tickets are claimed online ahead of time through the Greenville Drive rather than at the gate. The alliance includes GE Vernova, Prisma Health, Michelin and the Drive.

Veterans Day itself falls on Wednesday the 11th. I could not confirm a 2026 ceremony in Greenville County from the city, the county or the state, so the Salute is the one I can give you a date for. If you are using your benefit on a purchase up there, VA loans in South Carolina covers how the program works here.

Monday Night Raw, and a hockey game at half past ten in the morning

WWE Monday Night Raw is at Bon Secours Wellness Arena on Monday the 9th at 7:30. The arena's own event page carries the date and the start time, and Fox Carolina covered the announcement in September. Matches were not announced as of mid-October, which is normal for Raw.

The next morning, Tuesday the 10th, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits play the Orlando Solar Bears at 10:30 in the morning. The team's own schedule release calls it the School Day Game, and it is built around Upstate school groups rather than a normal evening crowd.

The same release and the ECHL's listing put four more home dates on the November calendar. The Atlanta Gladiators are in on Saturday the 7th at 7:05 for Star Wars Night, and again on Thursday the 12th at 7:05. The Greensboro Gargoyles come on Saturday the 21st for Faith and Family Day and Sunday the 22nd at 3:05 for Peanuts Day. The Saturday the 21st start time is the one to check: the team's May schedule release had it at 7:05 and its October broadcast announcement has it at 4:05.

Dirty Dancing at the Peace Center, the 10th through the 15th

Dirty Dancing: The Musical is the November title in the Peace Center's Broadway season, running Tuesday the 10th through Sunday the 15th in Peace Concert Hall. The Peace Center's own event page carries those dates, and Fox Carolina reported the season lineup in April. It is a stage production built on the film, with the film's music.

Showtimes vary across the run, including two performances on the Saturday and two on the Sunday, so the box office at peacecenter.org is where to settle which one you want.

Open Studios, the 13th through the 15th

Greenville Open Studios is a self-guided tour of working studios, and it lands on the second full weekend of November every year. The Metropolitan Arts Council's own event page has Saturday the 14th from 10 to 6 and Sunday the 15th from noon to 6, with a preview evening on Friday the 13th from 6 to 9 at selected studios.

The tour is juried, and every studio has to be within fifteen miles of downtown Greenville, which puts a lot of them in the Village of West Greenville and the old mill buildings around it. MAC's own pages give two different end dates for the companion 12 x 12 exhibit that opens November 7, so the printed catalogue and the council's own list are better than anything I could pin down from outside.

Saturday the 14th is the crowded one

Four things land on the 14th, and if you have showings booked anywhere between Greenville and Clemson that day you will want the extra hour.

Clemson hosts Georgia Tech at Memorial Stadium. Clemson's own schedule announcement has the date, and the kickoff time and the television window get set closer to the game.

Furman hosts Chattanooga at Paladin Stadium at 1, and it is Senior Day and Furman's last home game of the regular season. Furman's own kickoff-times release carries the time.

Journey plays Bon Secours Wellness Arena that night at 7:30 on the Final Frontier Tour. The arena's own event page carries the date and the time, and tickets went on sale in May through the arena and Ticketmaster.

And Open Studios is in its first full day, spread across ninety-odd addresses. Between the arena, Paladin Stadium and the studio tour, downtown and the Pelham Road side of town are going to be slow from late afternoon on.

Carolina and Southern Cal, downtown on the 15th

The University of South Carolina and the University of Southern California play women's basketball at Bon Secours Wellness Arena on Sunday the 15th. The arena's own event page has it billed as The Real SC, and South Carolina's own schedule has tip-off at 1. It is the second and last game of a two-season series; the first was played in Los Angeles.

Festival of Trees opens on the 20th

The Bon Secours Festival of Trees opens Friday the 20th and runs through December 26, so the last six weeks of the year have nearly a hundred decorated trees on display downtown. The foundation's own event page says it is the 41st year, that it is free and open to the public, that the trees fill two downtown hotel lobbies, and that this year's proceeds go to the Freissle Family Women's Center. Viewing runs from 8 in the morning to 10 at night.

Beethoven's Violin Concerto, the 21st and the 22nd

The Greenville Symphony Orchestra plays Saturday the 21st at 7:30 and Sunday the 22nd at 3 in Peace Concert Hall, with music director Lee Mills conducting. The program opens with Carlos Simon's Fate Now Conquers, then Beethoven's Violin Concerto with Brazilian violinist Nathan Amaral, and closes with Schumann's Third. The orchestra's own program page and the Peace Center's listing agree on both dates and times.

Thanksgiving morning, and the Palmetto Bowl two days later

Thanksgiving falls on the 26th, and the TreesUpstate Turkey Day Run goes that morning with an 8K and a 5K. The race's own registration page has corrals seeded by pace going off between 8:30 and 8:45, and no registration or packet pickup on race morning. Packets come from Fleet Feet Greenville on the 23rd and the 24th and from Yee-Haw Brewing on the 25th, and online registration closes at 6 that evening. The money goes to TreesUpstate, which plants and maintains trees around the Upstate. The 2026 course was still posted as a draft pending approval when I checked, so the start line is worth confirming.

Then Clemson hosts South Carolina on Saturday the 28th. Clemson's own schedule puts the Palmetto Bowl at Memorial Stadium this year, and the kickoff time has not been set. If you have anything to do in Pickens County that Saturday, the morning is better than the afternoon.

Farmers markets in November

This is the month almost every market around Greenville has already closed, which is worth knowing before you drive downtown on a Saturday morning for one.

The TD Saturday Market on Main Street is the big one, and the city's own market page lists the 2026 season as Saturdays from May 2 through October 31, 8 to noon. So the last one was the 31st, and the next Main Street market is the holiday one in December. The Greer Farmers Market finished earlier still: the market's own calendar ran thirty Sunday dates from April 26 to a Pumpkin Party on October 4, and its winter markets do not start until January. The Travelers Rest Farmers Market ran Saturdays from April 25 through September 19 at Trailblazer Park, added Thursday evenings in October, then goes to second-Saturday pop-ups in the new year. The City of Easley's market is listed on the city's own page as Saturdays from May 9 through August 29, and the city runs a separate holiday market in December instead.

The one still open is the Anderson County Farmers Market at 402 North Murray Avenue, and it runs three days a week. The South Carolina Department of Agriculture's listing has it on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 to 1. November market days I can confirm are the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th, 12th, 14th, 17th, 19th and 21st. The listings disagree about where the season actually stops. One of them gives November 22, which is a Sunday and not a market day at all, so the market manager is the person to ask before you count on the week of Thanksgiving. The holiday market starts the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

The dates I could not confirm for this year

Ten things that belong on a November list up there are not above, because no 2026 date came from the organizer, the venue, the city or the visitor bureau. I would rather say that plainly than hand you a date from last year.

  • Ice on Main. The downtown rink has opened in mid to late November in recent years, and no 2026 opening date has been posted by the city or by United Community.
  • Veterans Day ceremonies on the 11th itself, anywhere in Greenville, Anderson, Pickens or Laurens County. The listings I found are all from earlier years.
  • The Holly Jolly Holiday Fair at the Anderson Civic Center, listed for the 13th through the 15th by a craft-show aggregator and nowhere else.
  • Anderson Christmas Lights, listed as starting the 26th on Rose Valley Boulevard, again from an aggregator.
  • The Greenville Christmas Market at the Grand Bohemian Lodge, listed as November 1 through December 22 with no confirmation from the venue.
  • The Greer Farmers Market Chili Cookoff, listed for Sunday the 15th at Greer City Park without a year on the listing.
  • Roper Mountain Holiday Lights. The drive-through light show ended in 2017. The star itself came down on November 20, 2025 for wiring and structural repairs, paid for by a $130,000 Relight the Star drive, and the science center has it tentatively coming back on around Thanksgiving. No firm date has been posted.
  • November productions at the Warehouse Theatre and Centre Stage. The Warehouse Theatre's own season has nothing between October 4 and December 4, and Centre Stage has no 2026 November run I could confirm.
  • Any November exhibit end date at MAC. Its own pages give December 11 and December 16 for the Open Studios companion exhibit.
  • The Poinsettia Christmas Parade and the Greer, Simpsonville, Mauldin and Clemson tree lightings and parades. All of them are December events, and the 2026 dates mostly still show last year's.

If any of them post a 2026 date, they will be in December's list.

Changes around the area this fall

The airport finishes its runway work on the 12th. Greenville-Spartanburg International's published project schedule has the last phase of the Runway 4/22 rehabilitation running nightly from 11:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. through November 12. The full weekend closures in September are behind us. The project repaves more than 6,500 feet of runway along with the shoulders and safety areas, repairs concrete panels and replaces the markings, and Fox Carolina covered the plan when it was announced. If somebody is flying in to look at homes with you, the 11:30 p.m. cutoff is the thing to watch.

The Woodruff Road relief road is still not under construction, and it now costs more than twice what it was first priced at. SCDOT's project page describes the parallel road from Verdae Boulevard to Smith Hines Road with new bridges over I-85 and I-385. The estimate was about $121 million back in 2017. Officials now put it near $277 million. WSPA reported that the roughly $150 million increase has to come out of the local planning body's budget, which puts other Upstate road projects at risk. SCDOT said in the spring that it was about 96% done buying the parcels it needs. SCDOT's own project portal has the contract going out for bids at the end of 2026 and construction starting in 2027, so relief on that corridor is still years out.

The Pelham Road library is moving, and the board has started paying for it. Fox Carolina reported on September 29 that the library board approved more than $1.4 million for architectural work, demolition, preconstruction and asbestos abatement at a site on East North Street. The system bought the former grocery building there to give the branch more room. No opening date has been announced.

Two manufacturers are adding jobs in the county. The governor's office announced in July that Fortified Solar, a locally owned company, is investing $22.75 million and adding 151 jobs on A. D. Asbury Road, with the new manufacturing lines meant to reach full production around now. Earlier in the year, the Greenville Area Development Corporation announced that United Composite Materials picked Greer for its first South Carolina operation, a $17.5 million investment and 50 jobs in two existing buildings on South Buncombe Road.

A move for a new job changes how your income gets documented on a loan file, and what a lender reads depends on whether you are taking a salaried position or working for yourself once you get here. It helps to tell me which one it is early. Getting pre-approved in South Carolina covers what gets looked at before anybody writes a letter.

Common questions

When is Greenville Open Studios in 2026?

Saturday, November 14 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, November 15 from noon to 6 p.m., with a preview evening at selected studios on Friday, November 13 from 6 to 9. It is a self-guided tour of working studios within fifteen miles of downtown, and the Metropolitan Arts Council publishes the list and the catalogue.

What is on the Greenville County ballot on November 3, 2026?

Two county questions, both about a 1% sales and use tax for transportation, transit and greenbelts. The first authorizes the tax for up to eight years or $1.1 billion, and the second authorizes up to $150 million in bonds against it. The county's program page has the spending caps by purpose. The City of Greenville, Simpsonville, Mauldin and Travelers Rest each have separate questions, so your address decides how many you see.

Are the farmers markets around Greenville open in November?

Mostly no. The TD Saturday Market on Main Street ran through October 31 and the Greer market finished on October 4. Travelers Rest ran Saturdays into September and then Thursday evenings through October, and Easley closed at the end of August. The state Department of Agriculture's listing has the Anderson County Farmers Market on North Murray Avenue open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 to 1, and it runs into late November.

When does Clemson play at home in November 2026?

Saturday, November 14 against Georgia Tech and Saturday, November 28 against South Carolina, both at Memorial Stadium. Clemson's own schedule release says kickoff times and television windows get announced closer to each game.

Which of these events are outside Greenville County?

The Anderson Mistletoe Market and the Anderson County Farmers Market are in Anderson County, and both Clemson home games are in Pickens County. Open Studios crosses the line too, because its fifteen-mile radius reaches Easley, which is in Pickens County. The rest of the dates above are in Greenville County. Which county a home is in decides its tax bill, and in this metro the mailing address does not always tell you: a Simpsonville address can be unincorporated Greenville County, and an Easley address can be Anderson County. The Greenville area buyer's guide walks through how to check a parcel.

I am moving to the Upstate from out of state. Where should I start?

With which county and which city the home is actually in, because an address up there does not always match either one. After that, the South Carolina page covers the statewide rules, and the town pages go a layer down: Greer, Simpsonville, Mauldin and Travelers Rest. Call me if you would rather just talk it through.
